* Rare Old West title
This is a town in Solano, not far from Sacramento. It was originally meant to be named Dixsonville after a local land developer, but a shipment of merchandise from San Francisco arrived in 1872 mistakenly addressed to “Dixon,” and the new spelling has been used since.
Various news & curious tidbits of the day with many illustrated advertisements as well. Four pages, large folio size, a few very discrete archival mends, generally nice.
