THE LOG CABIN, New York, April 17, 1841

* re. William Henry Harrison's death
* Rare campaign title by Horace Greeley

The famous campaign newspaper published by Horace Greeley in support of William Henry Harrison in the 1840 election, its success carrying over to many issues beyond the inauguration--including this one.
This issue is from shortly after Harrison's Death, content including: "Gen. Harrison's Last Letter" 'Mr. Tyler's Opinions" "The Presidential Succession" [remember that Harrison was the first President to die in office] & a few other items relating to Harrison's death. Page 3 has a full column with: "President Tyler's Address To the People of the United States" which--partially--concerns the death of Harrison.
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, engraving of a log cabin in the masthead, foxing & dirtiness at the folds, otherwise good.
