May 03, 1882
ST. LOUIS GLOBE-DEMOCRAT, May 3, 1882 From a month after his death, page 7 contains over a full column on the outlaw Jesse James, with the top of the column headed: "JESSE JAMES" "His Life, His Wife, His Mother" "His Acts, Their Facts, Our Contracts--Frauds Exposed--Truths Presented--Letters, Receipts, Fac-Similie Signatures, etc." A very interesting & detailed article on him, beginning with a report of a writer meeting with his wife & mother concerning doing a book on his life, etc. So much more (see for portions).
Great to have this report in a St. Louis newspaper, not far from his home in Kearney.
Twelve pages, nice condition.
