January 25, 1893

PUCK, New York, Jan. 25, 1893  Puck was America's first successful humor magazine of colorful cartoon caricatures and political satire, publishing from 1871 until 1918. It was also the first to successfully adopt full color lithography printing for a weekly publication. The color prints are much desired for their displayability. This issue has as its political cartoons:
front page: "He Won't Be Happy Till He Gets There."
double-page centerfold: "The Fox, The Monkey and the 'Zoo" Audience." (tiny binding holes at the central fold)
back page: "The Tammany Army--The Front Rank is Very Imposing, But it Gets Worse the Further Back You Go."
Sixteen pages, very nice, clean condition.
