This is the famous anti-slavery newspaper by William Lloyd Garrison, which features a very decorative and slave-themed masthead which shows a scene of slaves being auctioned, and a scene of slaves being liberated (see). Content inside includes: "The President & His Critics" "Gen. Banks Vindicated by a 'John Brown' Abolitionist" "Gen. Banks & the Freedmen" as well has a quote signed in type: Abraham Lincoln, concerning him standing by his Emancipation Proclamation (see); "Convention of Colored People" at Harrisburg; "An Old Slave Case Decided" "The Capture of Wilmington" "General Shaman & the Georgia Slaves" "Lincoln & Davis Contrasted" and much more.
Four pages, some tears at the top margins, generally good condition.
