The ftpg. has: "Battle the Spoiler" which begins: "The cry which comes up most profoundly from the bottom of the hearts of the people of the North, at this crisis, is that the South, which they fancy to be on the verge of being subjugated, must be made to pay the costs of the war..." with much more. Also on the ftpg: "Death of Confederate Prisoners at St. Louis" with a list of names.
Articles inside include: "The Attack Upon Cumberland Gap" "Who Planned the Virginia?" which concerns the historic ironclad ship to be renamed the Merrimac; "Gen. A.S. Johnston" "Yankees and Mules" "Our Naval Officers" "Latest from the North" "Important Letter from General Seigel" and more.
Four pages, foxing throughout, nice condition.
