THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, June 20, 1780

Page 2 has an historic letter from Charleston, South Carolina, which has near the beginning: "I embrace this first opportunity of communicating to you the success of Gen. Clinton & Admiral Arbuthnot's expedition against this devoted town, which was taken possession of last Friday morning...Gen. Lincoln would have surrendered before, but was prevented..." with more (see). Further on is: "with many other light horsemen are said to be either killed, taken prisoners, or drowned in Santee River. A report prevails that George Town is taken, that a heavy column has marched for North Carolina & that a body are in motion for Camden..." (see).
Another page has a report from New York noting that the Penna. President is: "...offering a reward of 1000 dollars for the head or scalp of every Indian or Tory taken on the frontiers & 500 more for a prisoner..." with more. And other reports from America as well.
Complete with eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 inches, and in very nice condition.
