Certainly the best report is headed: "Of Galveston" which is concerning, among other items about Galveston, Texas, the noted pirate Lafitte. Part of the text includes: "...Galvezton is a small island or sand bar situate in the bay of St. Barnard on the coast of Texas...Among the most conspicuous characters who happened to be then at Galveston were many of the notorious offenders against our laws...among whom the Lafittes may be classed foremost & most actively engaged in the Galvezton trade..." with more (see).
Sixteen pages, 6 1/4 by 9 1/2 inches, ink stain to the front page, nice condition.
This newspaper began in 1811 and was a prime source for national political news of the first half of the19th century. As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
