Page 5 has: "Congressional" reports which includes the news that Kansas has officially joined the Union on January 28. Also mention that: "...In the Senate Mr. Iverson, of Georgia, read the secession ordinance of his state, made a secession speech, and bade the Senate farewell. Mr. Hemphill of Arkansas also made a secession speech He said he had no fears of a servile insurrection--the slaves would fight for their masters...".
Eight pages, bit of foxing, nice condition.
