DAILY RICHMOND EXAMINER, Virginia, April 8, 1864 A nice newspaper from the capital of the Confederacy. The front page includes: "The War News" "Yankee Recruiting In Ireland" "The Alabama in the India Seas" "From Northern Virginia" and other items.
The back page has a lengthy editorial concerning the war, beginning: "The Yankees are evidently becoming nervous as the crisis of their grand experiment approaches..." with much more, and discussing additional themes as well. Also war reports including: "Additional From the North" "How Re-Enlistments Are Encouraged" "Speaking Out Against the Administration" "Yankee Thieves" "The Position of the Dead on the Battle-Field" and more.
Single sheet, folio size, full banner masthead, very nice condition.
