* Ernst vom Rath assassination
* Prelude to Kristallnacht "Night of Broken Glass"

The front page has two column headings: "Reich Embassy Aids in Paris Shot To Avenge Expulsions by the Nazis" "17-Year-Old Polish Jew Fires Five Shots at Third Secretary, Two Taking Effect--Youth Tried to Reach Ambassador" 1st report coverage on the shooting death of Ernst vom Rath by Herschel Grynszpan . This was used as the excuse for the Nazi Kristallnacht (night of broken glass) the next few days. Always nice to have notable events in history reported in this World famous publication.
Other news, sports and advertisements of the day. Complete in 48 pages, this is the rare rag edition that was produced on very high quality newsprint, with a high percentage of cotton & linen content, allowing the issues to remain very white & sturdy into the present. Given the subscription cost, libraries & institutions rather than individuals were the primary subscribers of these high-quality editions.
