THE STAR, Guernsey, Channel Islands, March 14, 1945 This newspaper was published on this island in the English Channel and was occupied by the Germans during almost all of WWII. During the Nazi occupation they took over this newspaper and filled it with pro-German propaganda, offering a unique insight into how the Axis reported the news during the war.
Consequently, the pro-Nazi front page heads are of little surprise: ""Enemy Relief-Attacks Smashed With Heavy Casualties" "No Peace at Any Price for Germany" "Good Results - U-Boat Warfare Intensified".
Four pages, 12 by 12 3/4 inches, very nice condition.
