January 19, 1789

THE DAILY ADVERTISER, New York, Jan. 19, 1789

* 18th century America

Three of the four pages are taken up with advertisements with pg. 2 containing news reports of the day. One item mentions an escape attempt from jail, and another item reports on a possible treaty with Indians: "...The treaty has not commenced. The Indians are assembled at the falls of Muskingum & have sent Brant's son to the governor to request that the treaty might be held there..." with more.
Washington would be inaugurated in this city in April. Four pages, very nice condition.
