Page 4 has: "Purchase of Russian America" which begins: "The telegraph brought us the intelligence...that the President had sent to the Senate for its ratification an important treaty with Russia, by which the whole of Russian America is conveyed to the United States for $7,000,000 in gold...". The article takes over a full column with much detail, and notes near the end: "...the country cannot fail to appreciate at its full magnitude the importance of this accession..." (see).
Eight pages, bit irregular at the blank spine from disbinding, generally nice condition.
