COLUMBIAN CENTINEL, Boston, November 25, 1797 Page 2 contains a brief & inconspicuous item which lists new senators: "Tennessee, Hon. Messrs. Andrew Jackson and Joseph Anderson...". This is likely the earliest mention of Andrew Jackson in a newspaper. He was 30 years old at the time. Other news of the day & many ads, including 9 illustrated ship ads on the bkpg. Four pages, measuring approximately 19.5 x 12 inches, very nice condition.
