THE DEMOCRAT, Boston, Massachusetts, August 13, 1808  The front page has a "List of the Officers" which under the "Sixth Regiment of Infantry" contains "Major Zebulon M. Pike". He also became an explorer and is whom Pikes Peak is named after.
Also on the front page is an article "A Fatal Duel" in which two African gentlemen used scythe as their instruments of weapons. Both died instantly.

This is complete in four pages, measuring 13 x 19.75 inches, with a piece missing from the upper right corner missing from the last leaf, some lite scattered foxing, otherwise is in good condition.
