GLEASON'S WEEKLY LINE-OF-BATTLE SHIP, Boston, December 24, 1859 This newspaper has one of the most ornate & decorative masthead to be found in any newspaper from any period of time, and includes an ornate border around each of the 8 pages as well. The ftpg. features a dramatic engraving titled: "David Porter" with a related article as well as an illustration "Viaduct of the Baltimore and Washington Railroad". Inside the issue is an illustration "Teal Shooting"; "View of New York Bay and Harbor, from Telegraph Station"; and "View from Cambridge Bridge, Showing the Jail, Etc." as well as numerous articles, stories, and poems.
This is complete in eight pages with a very lite dampstaining to the left-half of the issue, otherwise is in good condition.
