NEW-YORK TIMES, March 22, 1868 The front pager has a somewhat brief article headed: "A Louisville Banking House Broken Into and Robbed" with a Louisville, Ky. dateline from the day before. It notes: "...entered by five men and robbed of $9,000...They shot Mr. Long...General shooting commenced...The robbers escaped to Frankfort." (see).
