December 04, 1834

THE JEFFERSONIAN, New York, Dec. 4, 1834

* President Andrew Jackson
* State of the Union Address

All four pages plus over half of a broadside "Extra" are taken up with the: "MESSAGE" of the President, being his annual state-of-the-union address. A prefatory note mentions: "In consequence of the great anxiety...of our subscribers to see the Message of the President, we furnish them with Thursday's paper on Wednesday afternoon." It is signed at its conclusion in the "Extra": Andrew Jackson. The "Extra" was obviously necessary to include the full text of the Address, and is blank on the reverse (see).
Six pages in total, a bit irregular at the blank spine, measures 8 3/4 by 12 1/2 inches, generally nice.
