THE NEW YORK TIMES, Dec. 23, 1882 The last column of the front page is headed: "On Plymouth Rock Again - The Pilgrims' Sons Talking of Their Forefathers" which is a report of the New England Society of New York celebrating the Pilgrim fathers. Included in the attendees was "...Samuel L. Clemens, (Mark Twain)..." (see). The article carries over to page 2 where is found Mark Twain's 15 minute speech under the heading: "Woman--God Bless Her" (see).
Ten pages, lightly toned, very nice condition but should be handled carefully.
