FRANK LESLIE'S ILLUSTRATED NEWSPAPER, New York, October 1, 1881

* President James A. Garfield
* Assassination - death bed
* Thumb fire

The entire front page is a print captioned: "President Garfield at Elberon--His First View of the Ocean from His Reclining Chair". Other prints within include: "Virginia--The Approaching Centennial Celebration at Yorktown", a fullpg: "The Moment of Despair--An Incident of the Fatal Conflagrations in the Saginaw Valley of Michigan" and more.
Sixteen pages, never bound nor trimmed so it folds out to be one large sheet, one crease, minor margin wear, generally very nice.
