The front page has a 3 column, 3 line head reading: "ARABS GAIN IN JERUSALEM, BUT ISRAELI TROOPS REPORT BREAKING SIEGE IN OLD CITY" with subheads including: "Britain Leads Drive in U.N. To Beat U. S. Palestine Move" and more (see photos). This coverage carries over to pages 2 & where there is a nice map of Jerusalem, and photos of some ruins in the Arab-occupied Jewish settlement.
A nice, early report on the creation of the Jewish state of Palestine, and great to have this coverage in the desirable New York Times.
Complete as a 60 page newspaper, this rag edition is in great condition.
