March 30, 1789

THE CONNECTICUT COURANT, Hartford, March 30, 1789  An issue from just weeks before the federal government which be created & Congress begin deliberations. Page 3 has a report from New York that: "Congress have not yet formed, there being only 21 Representatives and 8 Senators present;...It is quite uncertain when we shall make a quorum...from New York informs that on Wednesday the 18th inst. there was not a quorum of either house met..." with a bit more.
But the most intriguing item is the part 3 article headed: "Description of the New Building for the Reception of the Federal Congress" which is very descriptive of Federal Hall (see hyperlink for Wikipedia image of it). The text gives all the detail of the building (see).
Four pages, wear at the margin & minor loss at the top margin causes no loss of readability. Some damp staining at the bottom.
