This newspaper--the oldest continually published newspaper in the world, beginning in 1665 & still publishing today--was essentially the "mouthpiece" of Parliament.
The entire front page is taken up with reports on the Revolutionary War including a letter from Sir Henry Clinton to Lord George Germaine dated at New York, Sept. 7, 1781 with war content, as well as another letter between the two dated Sept. 12 (see).
But even better content begins on the front page & carries over to take all of page 2 being a fine account of the battle of New London which was burned & looted by traitor Benedict Arnold. This is Arnold's own account of the taking of New London, with much detail & signed by him in type: B. Arnold (see). Also includes a "Return of the Killed & Wounded" and the "Return of the Ordinance, Ammunition..." taken at Fort Griswold (see for portions).
This is followed by additional letters on the war including yet another from Clinton to Germain dated Sept. 26, another letter on New London, and a letter from Rear Admiral Graves from Sandy Hook.
Eight pages, 7 1/4 by 11 3/4 inches, a small burn hole at the bottom margin of the front leaf affects 2 words at the bottom of pg. 2 only, otherwise nice.
