Page 6 has reports from the "New York Gazette" including mention of the destruction of tobacco warehouses in Maryland, and: "...that 2000 British troops have lately arrived at Wilmington, on Cape Fear River, North Carolina & a body of Hessians at Charlestown". A letter from Williamsburg note: "We hear today the enemy are drawing in their outposts..." and "Admiral Arbuthnot...destroyed all these hopes, by effectually relieving the British General in Virginia, possessing the great Bay of Chesapeak after gloriously vanquishing the whole French fleet." & more.
Also a letter from New York has much information concerning the Revolutionary War, one bit noting: "...alarmed by information from Brigadier-General Arnold that a French...frigate...blocked the Chesapeak...received information that the rebel General Washington had made a considerable detachment to the southward under the Marquis de Fayette..." with much more, taking over two columns of text (see).
Eight pages, some loss to the margin of the first 2 leaves not causing loss of text, some dirtiness, 9 1/4 by 12 1/2 in., generally good.
