THE MORNING STAR, Wilmington, North Carolina, May 23, 1918 This 10 page newspaper has one column headings on the front page: "Georgia Mob Storms Jail And Seizes Negro" and "Starts to Scene of Murder of Farmer's Wife--Sid Johnson Killed in Battle With Posse" which tells of the lynching of James Cobb at Cordele, Georgia.
