NATIONAL INTELLIGENCER, Washington, D.C., Feb. 28, 1848 All four pages have wide black mourning rules for the death of President John Quincy Adams, with ftpg. items including: "Official" which includes a nice from the War Department beginning: "The President of the United States, with deep regret, announces to the Army the death of John Quincy Adams, our eminent and venerated fellow citizen..." with more. Also: "Order of Procession for the Funeral of Hon. John Quincy Adams" and "Funeral Honors to Mr. Adams". A few related items on page 3 as well.
Four pages, light damp staining at the bottom, very nice condition. Nice to have this report in a newspaper from the nation's capital as this is where he died.
