THE NEW YORK TIMES, New York, May 1, 1974  The three-line, five-column headline reads "Nixon Depicted In Transcripts As Having Searched For Ways To Hide Details Of Watergate" with subheads "Democrats Meet - Weight a Citation for 'Noncompliance' - G.O.P. Is Balking" and "Options Weighed - Key Meeting Indicates President's Interest in Hunt Hush Money". Other frontpage articles "A Blunt President, Behind the Scenes" "Nixon Innocence Affirmed in Brief" "St. Clair to Fight Jaworski's Writ - President's Lawyer to Move for Quashing of Subpoena of Tapes and Documents". Also shown is the beginning of the first of the tape transcripts issued by the White House. Within the issue are several pages of the "White House Tape Transcripts and Nixon's Legal Argument".  Other news and sports are within the issue.

This is the complete issue with lite discoloration at the center foldline, otherwise in very good condition.  A mailing label is in the masthead area.
