September 06, 1788

THE MASSACHUSETTS CENTINEL, Boston, Sept. 6, 1788  Page 2 has a report from the: "Humane Society" (see). Page 3 has a nice item concerning the Constitution which includes: "...observes with real concern that notwithstanding it is more than two months since the ratification of the Constitution by the ninth state was transmitted to Congress, yet, to the grief & astonishment of all true federalists, no steps whatever are taken by that honourable body towards putting it in operation..." with much more, taking most of a column (see).
The back page has an ad for "Abraham Hunt, Wine Broker and Refiner" with details (see). Four pages, some foxing near margins, generally very nice.
