THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, Dec. 1, 1774

* Justifying the tax on Americans
* Pre Revolutionary War tensions

An inside pg. has over a full column headed: "The Thoughts of a Traveller Upon our American Disputes" which includes some fascinating reading, a portion of which includes: "...I though the Legislature had as much lawful right to tax our fellow subjects in America as those of Cornwall or Wales or any other county..." followed by much text in defense of this statement (see photos). This is followed by another article concerning the "...state of the dispute with the Americans...".
The back page has: "Parliamentary Proceedings Yesterday" which includes some reference to the American situation (see photos). A tax stamp at the bottom of one page does not deter readability but does distract (see photos).
Eight pages, partial red tax stamp on pg. two, 8 1/2 by 11 inches, very nice condition.
