This 16 page issue is in nice condition (except for minor margin wear) and contains illustrations of the latest inventions of the day including the following inventions/prints: "Calvert Street Bridge"; "Lighthouse of Ar-Men"; "Harmonic Analyzer" and more.
These illustrations also have text that goes along with them. Back in the day when many of the normal things we use today were just being invented.
Historical Background: Scientific American is a popular-science magazine, published (first weekly and later monthly) since August 28, 1845, making it the oldest continuously published magazine in the United States.
