THE KERN COUNTY WEEKLY RECORD, Bakersfield, California, 1881 A very nice newspaper from this California town, just the third newspaper ever published in Bakersfield. This is from the first year this newspaper published.
Various news of the day, complete in 4 pages, various ads as well including saloon and livery stable ads with much more providing a truly "Old West" flavor. Never bound nor trimmed, a few minor edge tears and light wear, generally quite nice. The photo below is generic, however all issues have a similar look & format.
