* Counting the votes


On page 3 under Election Of President is a report stating that: The Electoral College for the State...met at Stickneys in Concord... Says they met the next day and cast their votes, and upon counting them ...it appeared JAMES MONROE...had eight votes for President...and DANIEL D. TOMPKINS...eight votes for Vice-President.. Other news of the day includes: "Seperation of Maine" "House of Representatives" "Success of the Patriots" and more. Stain on the second leaf, otherwise in good condition.
