HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, October 9, 1869 The full front page illustration is of "The Thorn in the Foot" which is very displayable. Inside are three one-third page illustrations pertaining to "Shippan Point" including "View of Shippan Point, Opposite Stamford, Connecticut," "...Johnson and Miller's Auction Sale, September 21, 1869," and "...Visitors Inspection Property Preliminary to the Sale of September 21, 1869." A 1/6 page illustration of "Barbara Ubryk, the Incarcerated Nun of Cracow" which features an accompanying article. A quarterpage illustration is of "The Oldest Episcopal Church in New England, at Wickford, Rhode Island." and a halfpage illustration of "An English Farm Scene." There are also four halfpage illustrations of horses including: "Lady Thorn," "Goldsmith Maid," "The American Girl," and "The Mountain Boy." A fullpage illustration is "Saturday Afternoon in the New York Central Park - Music on the Mall". The back page features a Thomas Nast political cartoon.
