May 20, 1918

EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, May 20, 1918

* Raoul Lufbery killed in World War I
* French-American flying fighter ace

The front page has a great banner headline: "AMERICAN ACE KILLED IN FIGHT" with subhead. (see images) Nice for display. Surprisingly this issue is in good condition being from the "wood pulp" era. Very hard to find issues that are not totally fragile from this era in paper. Rare as such.
Complete with 14 pages, small library stamp within the masthead, small library label on the front page, a little irregular along the spine, small hole near the headline, generally nice.
