October 01, 2001

LOS ANGELES TIMES, Oct. 1 & 15, 2001 (two-issue set)

* Tom Brady 1st NFL football game start
* New England Patriots vs. Indianapolis Colts

Issue #1:
Page 7 of the sport's section has a one column heading: "Patriots Turn Up the Defense" with lead-in: "New England 44, Indianapolis 13" with 2 related photos. Text includes: "...He was replaced by Tom Brady, who went 13 of 23 for 168 yards" This was Tom Brady's very 1st NFL game start. I suspect this to be an extremely rare item because their was really no reason to save it at the time.
Complete with all sections (80+ pages), great condition.

Issue #2:
Also offered is an original, historic, & collectible old newspaper: LOS ANGELES TIMES, Oct. 15, 2001

* Tom Brady 1st NFL football touchdown pass
* New England Patriots vs. San Diego Chargers

Page 7 of the sport's section has a three column heading: "Charger Lead Evaporates; Patriots Win in Overtime" with lead-in: "New England 29, San Diego 26" and related photo. Stats on the game are on the following page. This was Tom Brady's very 1st NFL game with a touchdown pass. Ironic the pass was received by a Ohio State wide receiver (Terry Glenn), Michigan's top rival. I suspect this to be an extremely rare item because their was really no reason to save it at the time.

Complete with all sections (80+ pages), great condition.
