CALIFORNIA SPIRIT OF THE TIMES, San Francisco, Jan. 7, 1882 The ftpg. has: "Base-Ball" "Renos vs. Californias". In the summary it mentions that Johnny Ward, "famous pitcher of the Providence Club", umpired the game and that he would pitch for the Californias the next day. Includes the box score. A few tears at the spine, minor margin tears, traces of foxing.

NEW-YORK SEMI-WEEKLY TRIBUNE, Jan. 5, 1875 The ftpg. has: "Inauguration Of Governor Tilden" "The Ceremony Simple and Impressive--Scene In The Assembly Chamber--Speeches Of The Two Governors--The New Oath Administered". Light fold foxing, uncut.

CONNECTICUT MIRROR, Hartford, Jan. 8, 1816 Taking 2 columns on pg. 2 is: "The Close Of Revolution And The Close Of The Year. Addressed To The Readers Of The Connecticut Mirror" being the carrier's address. Good.

HALL'S JOURNAL OF HEALTH, New York, January, 1859 Contains tips and anecdotes for healthy living, plus various topical reports. Octavo-size, 12 pgs. browned a bit, otherwise good. A volume I issue.

THE STAR , London, England, 1813  This newspaper is in nice condition due to the use of cotton and rags when making newsprint at that time.

This 4 page issue contains news of the day and various interesting advertisements which give a sense of what life was like during the War of 1812. This issue has a partial red-ink stamps on the upper right hand corner. See!

THE BALANCE, Hudson, N.Y., 1807 Has the text of a political speech, and various news reports. Quarto-size with 4 pgs., in vey good condition.

WALL STREET DAILY NEWS, N.Y., 1881 Subtitled: "A Daily Journal Devoted to Financial Interests". A very uncommon quarto-size newspaper with content as the title would suggest.

THE OMAHA DAILY BEE, Omaha, Nebraska, 1889 This is a typical daily newspaper from this famous cow-town from the Old West.



Some browning and irregular at the spine. Bit of pulpishness. Should be handled with care.
