THE LIBERATOR, Boston, June 24, 1864 This is the famous anti-slavery newspaper by famed abolitionist publisher William Lloyd Garrison. The masthead features two engravings, one of a slave auction and the other showing slaves being emancipated.
Among the articles: "A Complaint From Mr. Garrison" "A Lost Leader" "Abolition! Prohibition! The National Watchwords" "Conscientious Opposition" "Slave-Hunting in Kentucky" "Negro Troops In The West" and other Civil War reports.
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, minor margin tears, nice condition.
