The entire front page is taken up with various correspondences signed by General Alexander Leslie, General Nathaniel Greene, General M. Gist, General Francis [the Swamp Fox] Marion, and others. All these relate to military efforts in the South.
Included is an account of the skirmish at the Combahee River in South Carolina. This was the last eastern seaboard engagement of the Revolutionary War.
A report from London mentions: "Before Earl Cornwallis left town, he was several times closeted with the present premier & his uniform counsel has been totally to relinquish the American ewer, or by vigorous exertions to bring it to a termination; however that he would not take any part in the business without 50,000 men and a powerful fleet."
More reports are found on inside pages as noted in the photos.
Four pages, various light damp staining, a hole at the back leaf is a paper-making flaw, not damage.
