Monroe, then Secretary of State, to Augustus Foster, a British diplomat, with several letters between them taking most of page 1, all of page 2, and a portion of page 3. From shortly before the outbreak of the War of 1812 with England.
Page 2 includes: 'Occupation of Florida" with letters between Monroe & Foster.
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, good condition.
