It is subtitled in the masthead: "A Chronicle of the Turf, Agriculture, Field Sports, Literature and the Stage".
Page 6 has a small report concerning Baseball noting: "Metropolitan Base Ball Club" The Metropolitan Base Ball Club, which is composed chiefly of young gentlemen of the legal profession, and others of their rank, played a very exciting match on Wednesday of last week, in Hamilton square, Sixty-Fourth St. They displayed much judgment in their exercise, and are expected after a little practice to be one of the crack clubs os the State."
Page 5 has much reporting under: "Cricketer's Chronicle".
Twelve pages, 12 1/4 by 17 3/4 inches, a sporting-themed engraving in the masthead, great condition.
