An interesting "Extraordinary" issue from just before the War of 1812...

Item # 694507

March 27, 1812

BOSTON WEEKLY MESSENGER, EXTRAORDINARY, March 27, 1812  An unusual item, created as an "Extraordinary" of the Boston Weekly messenger, with the front page appearing in 2-column broadside format. Pages 2, 3 & 4 are of the more typical 4 column format.
The content is entirely political, with the front page reports headed: "Grand Federal Republican Convention" and includes various "Resolutions".
The content within has some relevance to the troubling situation with England, and thoughts of an eventual war with them, which would happen: the War of 1812.
Four pages, the two leaves were apparently once separated and since regaled, but so close that some letters in column 1 of page 3 are tight into the spine. Otherwise in very nice condition.
