Rarely are we able to secure antebellum newspapers from this city.
Among the articles is a front page print of: An Act for the Admission of the State of California Into the Union" which is the formal document dated: "Approved, September 9, 1850" which is the date of its admission. This is followed by: "An Act to Establish a Territorial Government for Utah" which takes over 3 columns.
Also of interest: "Slaves Running Home Again" and: "Vote on the California Bill" among others.
Four pages, very nice condition.
