"The Constitution as It is" which is followed by a quote signed by: Abraham Lincoln, which begins: "I will suffer death before I will consent or advise my friends to consent to any concession or compromise which looks like buying the privilege of taking possession of the Government to which we have a Constitution right...".
As for Lincoln: "The Reception of Mr. Lincoln" "Lincoln-Seward" "THE PRESIDENT-ELECT EN ROUTE" "The Journey From Albany" "The Reception in New York" "Splendid Popular Ovation" "Numerous Addresses" Mr. Lincoln's Cabinet--The Inauguration Ball--The President-Elect--Jefferson Davis's Speech..." "Incidents Along the Way" "Good Feelings, Confidence, and Hope", the latter taking two columns.
Other reports concerning war rumblings: "The Pretexts For Rebellion" "The Pro-Slavery Rebellion--A Southern Despotism--War for Slavery--Effect of Secession on Congress" "We are Only in a Lull--Warlike Designs of the Southern Confederacy--Prospects of the Peace Congress" "From Georgia--Davis and Stephens" "The Reaction--The Rebel Preparations" "The Sober Truth" "The Slaves & Their Masters" and even more.
