From just one year before the outbreak of the Civil War.
The front page has over half a column headed: "A Southern Conference - To the People of the Several Slave-holding States". Inside has: "Virginia Shall be a Unit". Most of page 2 is taken up with considerable detail on the: "Inauguration of the Clay Marble Statue" being the statue of Henry Clay that still remains in Richmond on the grounds of the Virginia State Capitol. Then over half of page 3 is taken up with: "The Clay Statue Inauguration Banquet" and: "The Clay Statue Celebration".
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, dirtiness at front page folds, some creases, minimal margin wear. Folder size noted is for the issue folded in half.
