FRANK LESLIE'S ILLUSTRATED, New York, Dec. 22, 1855  The ftpg. shows: "Sunken Schooner Eudora, From City Island" with more relate prints inside including: "The Eudora Tragedy--Arrest of the Negro" and "Burning of the Steamers at Memphis". Also a print of: "Greytown, Nicaragua" "Explosion of a Steam Fire-Engine, Cincinnati" a doublepg. centerfold: "Entrance of Alvarez Into Mexico".
There is a great full page with very early views along the Great Southern Pacific Railway including the town & Valley of Mesilla, Texas; Fort Fillmore on the Rio Grande, Lake Guzman, Dome Mountain Pass, mountains of Tubac, Fort Yuma, and the military depot at San Diego, California, this being one of the earlier prints showing the San Diego harbor to be had in any periodical.
There is also a print of: "The Fulton Market Nuisance" with an article, & the full bkpg. is a print of: "Launch of the Ocean Steamship Vanderbilt".
This is the volume 1 number 2 issue. Sixteen pages, very nice condition.
