November 10, 1860

CLEVELAND MORNING LEADER, Ohio, Nov. 10, 1860

* Abraham Lincoln's election win (1st)

Page 3 has a wonderful & lengthy account of the election returns coming into Springfield, Illinois, where Lincoln was, with reporting on the high level of excitement as the news was received. There are several charts showing election results at various locations.
Page 2 has a report: "New For the Union" which begins with the historic announcement: "Abraham Lincoln is President elect of the United States..." with more detail as shown in the photos.
The front page has a graphic captioned: "Cleveland Wide Awake Regiment" and then: "Grand Jubilee!" and the "Order of the Line, Cleveland Regiment". The graphic is an interesting print which includes a cameo of a beardless Abraham Lincoln with soldiers on either side of him.
This is a complete 4 page issue in nice condition.
