DAILY NATIONAL INTELLIGENCER, Washington, D.C., April 12, 1847 A wealth of fine content on the Mexican War, with page 2 containing: "The Large Events In Santa Fe" which give some discussion to the Taos Revolt.
Page 3 has a great & lengthy report; "Great Triumph of the American Arms" which takes over a full column and includes a letter from Vera Cruz signed in type by: Winfield Scott beginning: "The flag of the United States of America floats triumphantly over the walls of this city and the Castle of San Juan d'Ulua..." with much more. Following this is: "Articles of Capitulation of the City of Vera Cruz and the Castle of San Juan d'Ulna."
Also within: "Later From the Brassos" which includes a letter: "To Gen. Don Circiaco Vasquez" signed in type by: Santa Anna, then followed by another letter signed by Santa Anna.
Page 2 has a nice advertisement promoting the appearance of: "General Tom Thumb, The Man in Miniature" with much detail.
Four pages, nice condition.
