The front page has: "Notes Of The War--The 'Situation' In Kentucky--Position of the Hostile Armies--The Five Grand Divisions of the Federal Army & Where They Are" "The North & the War--How to Raise the Money" "A Yankee's Experience in the Richmond Prison" which takes over a full column.
Page 2 has a very lengthy editorial which touches in several topics, the first beginning: "The capture of Fort Henry is not an event to be compared with the fall of Sebastopol. It was a mud fortification that has been hastily thrown up during the war..." with further rationalizing its loss to the Yankees. Also on pg. 2: "The Latest Northern News--Movements & Spirit of the War" "Legislature of Virginia" with the war news carrying to page 3 with: "The War In the West--Capture of Fort Henry in Tennessee" "The Virginia Border" "Greediness of Extortioners" "Message of President Davis on The Railroads"which includes a letter signed by him in type: Jefferson Davis.
The back page is mostly taken up with various Acts of the Confederate Congress, many relating to the Civil War.
Complete in 4 pages, never bound nor trimmed, very nice, clean condition.
