THE NORWALK EXPERIMENT, Ohio, May 4, 1858

* Mormons from Sweden, Denmark, etc. emigrate to U.S.
* Uncommon title from Ohio
* Gang goes on a murderous rampage

The bottom of page 2 has "Arrival of Mormons at New York", which states in full: "A company of 90 Mormons, 81 of them from Sweden, Denmark and Norway, and nine from England, arrived in New York… on board of the emigrant ship John Bright, from Liverpool. The majority of the emigrants are females. None of the men have more than one wife, and many of them have none. The Times says they are generally very intelligent looking. They will settle temporarily in some part of the Northwest, judging it unsafe to venture across The Plains now."
An unrelated article has, "A Murderous Gang", followed by considerable text. See images for details.
Other news of the day is found throughout.
Four pages, left spine shows evidence of having been disbound, in overall good condition.
